Bazant skillfully weaves her personal experiences in Pakistan with the fascinating history of the country. Not many of us would be adventurous or brave enough to exchange a middle-class Canadian family life for that of expats in Pakistan, but Bazant’s words take her readers right along this journey with her. It is a page-turner from beginning to end, in the style of a great novel, but with multiple levels of personal and family perspective that enrich the tale.
This book is a great read, I highly recommend it.
