Once again Christmas is going to be challenging this year. Countries all over the world are tightening restrictions for gatherings and travel. For many, it feels like this pandemic is going on forever. The future is uncertain. Mental health and addiction issues are on the rise.
Buddhist philosophy tells us to focus on what we have in the moment. Each day of our lives, not matter what is happening around us, the past is gone and the future is unknown. Therefore, all we have is this moment—one breath in and one breath out.
I am alive and safe in this moment and I am grateful for that. This Christmas I have decided to savour each moment I have with my family. In these moments of joy I am truly blessed.
For this holiday season I wish that all of my readers and followers will be safe, well and take joy in all of the small meaningful moments.
Happy New Year to all.
